Bala Build 2010 - Patty Parsons Bala Build

The ground-breaking ceremony for the Patty Parsons Bala Build took place on May 15, 2010. Patty Parsons, who died in 2009 was a loyal supporter of Habitat Muskoka and an active resident of Bala.  The project was named in honour of her and has two homes for the families.

Because fire had destroyed a house previously on the property, a cleansing ceremony was carried out by singers and drummers (pictured below) from the Wahta United Church just before the ground-breaking ceremony took place.
